This directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) sets common EU rules for content of lead, mercury , cadmium , hexavalent chromium and the brominated flame retardants PBB and PBDE in electrical and electronic products. The purpose is to limit the use of toxic materials. This directive has resulted in an extensive process in our purchasing department to ensure that all relevant products meet the new standards. It is a measure of the whole Monacor International group to observe the new guidelines - and therefore not import products that are not RoHS compliant.
You can read more about the directive here.
This directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) aims to ensure environmentally sound recycling / disposal of electronics. Monacor are proud to be part of this directive.
